2. Am I able to import graphics?

Yes. LabelCreator Pro supports importing of JPG, BMP, WMF, EMF and TIF formats. You can also copy/paste from applications that support the clipboard. You paste into one of three placements for clipart or another placeholder for logos.[TOP]

3. Is there a database function with LabelCreator Pro?

There is the ability to use an XLS file as a database as well as Access databases to import text field data for your labels. We suggest you try our demo software to see if this functionality meets your needs.[TOP]

4. How many templates are included in the program?

The software has many templates in it, but is comprehensive for all popular manufacturers or label stocks. [TOP]

5. Can I modify the templates?

LabelCreator Pro™ software has no user-configurable section for creating your own templates. [TOP]

6. Can I create my own templates in the program and save them?

No. The software has been designed to get your labels printed quickly with the templates included in the software. Design and layout of new templates is outside of the scope of this program. [TOP]

7. I already have a labeling kit from Neato but I need another applicator for my son for his music CDs, can I use your labeling kit for that? Do I have to buy 2 types of labels then?

You can use the label applicator with Neato labels or with most manufacturers' labels. The center hub size is the important factor in ensuring a properly centered label. The software also prints on Neato labels, so you can standardize on one type of label. You can purchase replacement labels for LabelCreator Pro™ by finding one of our distributors in the "purchase" section of this site. [TOP]

8. My CD labels are consistently printed a tiny bit too low. That's not good, what can I do about it?

The LabelCreator Pro™ software has a fine adjust for printers that do that. Measure as accurately as you can the distance you want to move the printed area, either up or down and/or left or right. Go to the top menu and click on Print > Printer Adjust: A menu appears that lets you adjust the printed area in increments of 1/1000 Inch. [TOP]

9. I want to use a picture of our baby as picture background, how do I do that?

In the software go to the top menu with the Insert Picture, click on it and again on Open Background: A file menu appears. Navigate to the folder with your photos and click on any JPEG file (extension .jpg). It will load as label background and the file menu remains open. You can browse for the best picture. [TOP]

10. How do I get some of my pictures into the label background selection that shows up in LabelCreator Pro™?

As long as they have the extension .jpg, .bmp or .wmf, just copy them into the sub-folder named Backgrounds. That folder is typically located in C:\Program Files\LabelCreator Pro where C:\ would be your Windows drive. [TOP]

11. What are spine labels??

Spine labels can be attached to both thin sides of a CD jewel case. You can print your text on this spine labels using LabelCreator Pro™. [TOP]

12. Will the label damage my CD-R?

No, as long as it is applied with the included applicator according to the instructions. [TOP]

13. Can I later remove the label from a CD-R?

No, don't even try! The label is firmly attached to the CD-R and any attempt to remove it will most likely damage the disk. Unless you are willing to risk the readability of the disc it is strongly encouraged to leave the label intact after application.[TOP]

14. What's wrong using a permanent marker pen for writing on a CDR?

Permanent markers may contain solvents that can damage the CDR. Only use marker pens with water soluable ink if you have to use them or use our CD labels. [TOP]

15. Why do I have to smooth out the label after I applied it to the CDR?

While the CD applicator aligns and positions the label on the CD, sometimes a user will not apply enough pressure over the entire label. By gently rubbing a finger over the label surface, you ensure that there is no bubble or wrinkle on the label and the label is firmly attached to the CD-R over its entire contact surface. [TOP]

16. When I installed your LabelCreator Pro™ label design software I got an error message that my Screen Resolution is too low, what is the Screen Resolution?

Screen Resolution defines the number of color dots on your screen in the horizontal and vertical direction. The old VGA standard is 640 x 480. Newer standards are super VGA (800 x 600) or 1024 x 768. LabelCreator Pro™ requires Super VGA or higher. Almost all graphics cards support Super VGA. Follow the instructions the install program provides to change the Resolution. You will most likely appreciate the improvement you see with all your programs. [TOP]

20. What is this error after installation? "Component 'SYSINFO.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly
> registered: a file is missing or invalid"

There are two possible causes for this error. #1 The CD-ROM is damamged in some way or the CD-ROM drive is faulty. The installation program Installshield is designed to report errors, however, #2 complex errors in the ATAPI CD-ROM interface may go occasionally unnoticed by Windows and Installshield. The error is an indication the installation did not go smoothly. Contact technical support for possible options to resolve this issue.[TOP]

21. I would like to print more than one sheet of the same labels. When selecting how many copies, I always only get one printout. How can I print more than one sheet of labels at a time?

There was a printing issue when running Windows 2000 and XP that has been resolved. Please download the latest software update.[TOP]
